Kerala- India: His Holiness Ignatius Aphrem II has called for peace and reconciliation between the Indian Orthodox Malankara Church and the Jacobite Syriac Orthodox Church of India. Patriarch urged peace and understanding between two parties in Malankara during the second apostolic visit to India.
Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II Meets Chief Minister of Kerala
An official letter of invitation for talks was sent to Catholicos Baselios Mar Thoma Paulose II- Primate of the Indian Orthodox Malankara Church. The Patriarch expressed his deep desire for lasting peace in Malankara during the press conference.
The Primate of the Universal Syriac met Kerala Chief Minister Sri. Pinarayi Vijayan. The Primate will also meet Indian President and Prime Minister in New Delhi.
